Founder & Creative Director, Rhino Design Co.

Husband, father, pastor-turned-designer, and the guy who believes your brand should actually match your calling. Joshua founded Rhino Design Co. in 2016 and has spent the last decade helping churches, ministries, and mission-driven organizations find their voice.

Based in Tyler, TX. Fueled by coffee and conviction.

I didn't start as a designer. I started as a pastor.

For over 20 years, I've served in churches across Texas and Arkansas as an assistant pastor, a lead pastor, and a creative director. I've sat in the same seats my clients sit in. Budget meetings where branding wasn't a priority. Sundays where the bulletin didn't match the website. Conversations with leaders who knew exactly what their church was called to do but couldn't figure out why nobody else could see it.

That's the gap I kept running into. Not a design gap. A clarity gap.

In 2015, I paid out of my own pocket to help my church get a logo and a name that finally reflected who they were. Three years later, that church had grown from 35 people to over 130. That moment changed everything for me.

Since then, I've worked with churches, ministries, and mission-driven organizations across the US and Canada. I've led rebrands, trained creative teams, built out media from the ground up, and helped dozens of authors publish their work through Rhino Press.

Today I also serve as Director of Marketing at Grace Community School, a Christ-centered school in Tyler, TX. It's the same work through a different lens. Helping a faith-based organization tell its story clearly, build its brand with intention, and communicate its mission to the people it's trying to reach. Everything I do at Grace sharpens what I bring to Rhino, and everything I've built at Rhino informs how I lead at Grace.

That's what makes this work different. It's not a side hustle or a freelance gig. It's all one calling. Rhino is where I get to bring everything I've learned about ministry, leadership, storytelling, and design together to serve the organizations and leaders I care most about.
